Welcome to the Work, Education, and Lifelong Learning Simulation Center, WELLS Center.
The WELLS Center offers a complete array of state-of-the-art patient simulation tools for building clinical knowledge and advancing multi-disciplinary expertise in health care. The WELLS Center is equipped with 11 high-fidelity mannequins that include newborn, infant, pediatric, adult and adult female birthing mannequins along with the VH DissectorTM, which combines the power of cadaver dissection with the technology and convenience of virtual reality.
Inter-professional clinical teams from UCH, health care provider educators and health care organizations from across Colorado utilize the WELLS Center for training and technical consulting. Some of the courses offered by the WELLS Center in partnership with UCH Professional Resources and other UCH partners include:
- The Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) Course, a multi-disciplinary certification course for critical care providers.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
The WELLS Team has also provided patient simulation services as part of systems review for new health care facilities prior to opening, helping to ensure the safe and efficient treatment of patients.

The WELLS Center is operated by the University of Colorado Hospital, a division of University of Colorado Health including Poudre Valley Health System and Heart of the Rockies and supported by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) and other community partners.
