Central Line Maintenance Bundle and CLABSI Video
This is a video focused on central line maintenance and bundle adherence/management given the increasing importance that UCH is placing on CLABSI reduction. This type of training is part of the WELLS Center’s Mission to impact both professional development and the quality of care we deliver to our patients. We’ve already noted a decrease in CLABSI across the institution since beginning this initiative which is incredibly promising.
Impact of Simulation at University of Colorado Hospital
The WELLS Center has been around for over 10 years. The individuals affected by simulation at UCH include nurses, physicians, lab techs, pharmacists, emergency medical technicians, and the list goes on. The WELLS Center uses volunteers who can act as patients (standardized patients) and family members (simulation actors) to help drive home the patient experience aspect of patient care. Take a look at this video compilation of how simulation has impacted each individual who was interviewed and how simulation impacted them at a personal and organizational level.
We engage & challenge learners using simulation to create impactful healthcare experiences within a safe environment
for individual & team growth, ultimately serving patients, families, and communities.
