What We Do

WELLS Center Services

The WELLS Center team offers flexible healthcare related training and educational offerings to build the multi-disciplinary capacity of healthcare professionals. For more information, please contact the WELLS Center today at (720) 848-5420.

The WELLS Center offers the following healthcare related services:

On-Site/Off-Site Simulation Events:

The WELLS Center offers simulation opportunities to the entire healthcare community through fee-for-service events at the WELLS Center or at your worksite. These custom designed events allow the healthcare educator an opportunity to design and develop specific training outcomes. Educators are encouraged to attend the Introduction to High Fidelity Simulation in Healthcare Seminar.

Process Evaluation and Review:

The WELLS Team has also provided patient simulation services as part of systems review for new health care facilities prior to opening, helping to ensure the safe and efficient treatment of patients along with evaluating the physical environment of care.

Technical Consulting:

We provide individual consulting for organizations that are building a simulation laboratory or designing a specialized center. Our technical consultants will work with organizations that have high fidelity mannequins and desire additional hands-on training.

Introduction to High Fidelity Simulation in Healthcare Seminar:

The purpose of this course is to introduce the healthcare educator to the basic principles of simulation training utilizing high fidelity mannequins. This one day seminar will provide a “snapshot” into all aspects of high fidelity simulation, including history, simulation resources, scenario writing, technical considerations, creating reality, and debriefing.

Facilitating Learning With High Fidelity Simulation:

The purpose of this seminar is to further enhance the facilitation and debriefing skills of the healthcare educator experienced in high fidelity simulation. This one day seminar will review the basic principles of simulation and focus on facilitating a simulation event. Participants will be given several opportunities to “facilitate” a simulation event and practice their debriefing skills.

Classroom Space:

Our classroom holds up to 64 people. We offer state of the art conferencing ability, wireless network and recording. Accessible parking is offered to our participants free of charge.

Certification Courses:

In partnership with UCH Professional Resources and other UCH partners, the WELLS Center offers  Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) and the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) Course, a multi-disciplinary certification course for critical care providers. For more information about certification course schedules and enrollment, please visit the UCH education website at www.uch.edu/classes-events.
